The Caracal Biodiversity Centre stands for the Centre of Conservation for African Resources: Animals, Communities and Land use and is a not for profit NGO located in northern Botswana. The project is committed to conservation and conduct research on a number of wildlife species and host an endangered species management program amongst others. In addition they also investigate the wildlife - human conflict and reach out to the local communities offering them education by means of school visits and much more. Their wildlife rescue centre has become somewhat of an attraction over the years and some of the resident animals that can't be released back into the wild have taken on roles as ambassadors assiting in further education. These include a number of reptiles, snakes, chameleon, bushbabies and more. It's a great place to stop for a visit and see what is beeing done for both the people and the environment and a superb choice if you were thinking of making a donation somewhere.
