Hertz Car Rental originates from America and was first established by one Walter L. Jacobs, before it was purchased by John Hertz. Hertz has a strong presence in South Africa, with more than 42 strategically placed stations and due to demand, expanded across the borders to Namibia and more recently Zimbabwe and Botswana.
