Car Rental
Europcar was founded in France in 1949 originally trading under the name of 'L'Abonnement Automobile' and was rebranded to 'Europcars' in 1951. The final 's' was dropped in 1974 as the company continued to branch out across Europe. By 1979 Europcar had spread it's wings worldwide, with not only 212 branches in France but an additional 743 across the rest of Europe, the Middle East and Africa, running a fleet of approximately 9,000 vehicles. Today Europcar has stations in over 160 countries worldwide and runs 4 branches from Botswana. The choice of vehicle in Botswana is not as wide as in Europe and South Africa and offers mostly small sedans as well as 4x4 double cabs. The locations are as follows:
- Francistown Airport (FRW)
- Gaborone Airport (Sir Seretse Khama International Airport - GBE)
- Kasane Downtown
- Maun Airport (MUB)
