Camping Camps Thakadu Bush Camp serves as an ideal stopover between Windhoek and Maun. Located next to the Transkalahari Highway about 3km south of Ghanzi it offers a variety of family friendly accommodation options in chalets, tented rooms or at a campsite. Apart from the campsites the rooms are en-suite, including all basic amenities, the chalets also benefit from air-condition. The main area has a small restaurant offering a relaxed atmosphere and a swimming pool to cool of on hotter days. Thakadu offers a number of interesting activities including bushman walks, a demonstration of a traditional bushman dance, you have the option to enjoy self-guided walks or even self-drive on the reserve where you may see a variety of antelope. In addition you can make a stop at the CL Woolcott Vulture Restaurant for an opportunity to take a closer look at some White Backed Vultures. Thakadu Bush Camp is accessible via self-drive and although a vehicle with higher ground is suggested during the rainy season. Traditionally guests do not fly to Thakadu Bush Camp however can be arranged on request.
