Khwai Leadwood Under Thatch is a permanent camp located on the banks of the Khwai River in the Tsaro Concession near the Khwai Community Area.
The camp is nestled amongst leadwood and sycamore trees and offers accommodation in 4 standard and 2 family thatched chalets. Each room is en-suite with an indoor shower as well as flush toilet and also has a private verandah overlooking the Moremi Game Reserve. The surroundings offer a variety of ecosystems including forests, open grasslands, lagoons and floodplains which attracts a number of wildlife species year round. Activities in camp include mokoro safaris, day and night game drives as well as walking safaris with additional activities tailored to children. Khwai Leadwood Under Thatch is accessible both by self-drive (4x4 required) and light aircraft transfer with the nearest international airport located in Maun (MUB).
