Camps Deception Valley lodge is located in a fenced in 15,000 hectare private concession bordering the north-eastern corder of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. It is a family run lodge that has 8 chalets, 2 of which are interleading and also an exclusive manor accommodation up to 4 people with it's private guide, vehicle and chef. Day and night game drives are offered on the concession as well as informative bushwalks, acommpanied by a Bushman Guide which is the real highlight of the trip. With advance notice daytrips to the Central Kalahari Game Reserve can also be arranged although at an additional cost and with a minimum of 4 people sharing. This may be worth your while especially after the first rains have fallen and large numbers of antelope pass through the region (January - April). The Central Kalahari is a beautiful and still relatively untouched destination only having opened it's doors to tourism in the late 1980's. The lodge can be accessed by vehicle (4x4 required) and light aircraft with the nearest international airport in Maun (MUB).
