Camps
Abu Camp has built a reputation to become one of the most exclusive and also most expensive camps in Botswana. With only 6 tented suites it offers a personalised and luxurious experience in an idyllic setting, each room facing onto a lagoon. The lodge is situated in a riverine forest and is surrounded by scattered hardwood trees. Abu Camp derives it's name from an elephant called Abu and now concentrates on the conservation of elephants with a small herd residing at the camp. Although the lodge does offer game drives and mokoro as an activity, the main program revolves around the elephant herd allowing you to interact and get to know each of them individually and also join them on a daily bushwalk. If you enjoy experiences such as sleeping under the stars you may like to take the opportunity to book the elevated starbed and spend a night surrounded by the elephants who will be standing guard. The lodge leaves little to the imagination with most amenities taken care of and even offers air-condition and Wi-fi in the rooms. Access to the camp is by aircraft only with the nearest international airport located in Maun (MUB)
