Charter Airlines
Air Shakawe is a privately owned charter airline which officially started operating in June 2010. It's original home base was in Shakawe, with the idea of offering scenic flights over the Okavango Delta and panhandle. Due to high demand of the aircraft by other charter companies, it was decided to move the aircraft to Maun to expand the business and it's offering. Within the second year of operation, the airline obtained a second aircraft to add to their fleet and are now in full operation, offering a variety of services including scenic flights, transfers between camps, cargo and survey flights, as well as medical evacuation flights. Air Shakawe is in posession of all certificates required by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) to operate as a charter airline.
