Grasslands Bushman Lodge & campsite

Grasslands Bushman Lodge is located 10,000 hectare private wildlife reserve to the west of the Central Kalahari Game reserve. It is an ideal destination if you have an interest in culture and would like to stand good chances of seeing Lions. The family who run the farm have been around for seven generations and have an active interest in conserving the land and the countries culture. Grasslands Bushman Lodge offers accomodation in 8 en-suite thatched chalets, two of which are family units. The main area has a dining area and swimming pool as well as a view onto a floodlit waterhole. A variety of activities are on offer including horse riding, an introduction into the life of the San Bushman who will show you how to hunt, source medicinal plants, how they make fire and much more. The lodge also offers daily game drives as well as a visit to their predator rehabilitation program where you may have an opportunity to see Lion or walk with semi-habituated African Wild Dog. The area is not rich in big game or but a number of antelope can be seen including Eland, Blue Wildebeest and Oryx to name a few.
