Description
You will be collected from your accommodation in Maun after breakfast by a Marvelous Mobile Safari representative for a briefing about your day. A 4WD open-sided safari vehicle then transfers you to the mokoro station (approximately one hour), where you meet your mokoro poler for a safety and excursion briefing.
Glide through the intricate waterways of the Okavango Delta in a quiet mokoro, expertly poled by your guide. This traditional canoe allows close encounters with wildlife and birds without disturbance from a motorized vehicle, ideal for photographers and nature enthusiasts. The guides have in-depth knowledge of the environment, making the trip both safe and informative.
Expect to see water-based animals and terrestrial species such as zebra, impala, elephant, kudu, giraffe, waterbuck, hippo, and crocodile. Birdwatchers can spot hornbill, secretary bird, crane, vulture, plovers, and doves along the way.
A packed lunch will be provided. After lunch, you can rest in a shaded area surrounded by the peaceful sounds of the delta before returning to the mokoro station. The 4WD will transport you back to your accommodation in Maun.
