Description
You will be picked up from your hotel or lodge by a Marvelous Mobile Safari guide who will provide a trip briefing before departure. The drive follows the A3 road connecting Maun and Khumaga. Upon arrival at the park entrance, a packed breakfast is served.
After breakfast, enjoy a game drive along the Boteti River, where you can see zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, and large herds of elephants. During lunch, the guide will select a scenic spot within the park for a packed meal.
Makgadikgadi Pans National Park is one of the world’s largest salt pans. In the wet season (November to March), wildlife viewing is particularly rewarding with migrating zebra and wildebeest herds. The park hosts species such as gemsbok, eland, red hartebeest, kudu, lions, cheetahs, leopards, duiker, giraffe, springbok, steenbok, elephants, and the rare brown hyena.
Opportunities also exist to see semi-desert species like the elusive brown hyena, bat-eared fox, meerkats, and the black-maned lion of the Kalahari, adapted to survive harsh conditions. African wild dogs, cheetahs, and brown hyenas may be observed following prey in this remote wilderness.
After the game drive, you will be transported back to Maun and dropped off at your accommodation.
