Embark on an 8-day safari adventure in the Okavango Delta, one of the world's most diverse and beautiful ecosystems.
Day 1: Arrival in Maun – Gateway to the Okavango Delta
Arrive in Maun, the safari hub of Botswana. Meet with the guide for a briefing on the upcoming adventure. Settle in at Audi Camp, a well-known camping spot on the Thamalakane River. Enjoy a traditional dinner under the stars, preparing for the journey ahead.
Day 2: Mokoro Excursion & Transfer to Moremi (Third Bridge)
Depart from Maun and travel to Daunara, a mokoro station along the delta. Enjoy a 2-hour mokoro ride, gliding through the tranquil waterways, spotting hippos, birds, and lush delta vegetation. Exit Daunara and proceed to Moremi Game Reserve. Arrive at Third Bridge, a prime game-viewing area within Moremi. Set up camp and enjoy a bush dinner around the campfire.
Day 3: Full-Day Safari & Boat Cruise at Mboma Island
Wake up early for a morning game drive around Third Bridge, a hotspot for lions, wild dogs, and elephants. Mid-morning relaxation at the campsite. In the afternoon, embark on a boat cruise at Mboma Island, exploring hidden channels, birdlife, and hippo pods. Enjoy a stunning Okavango sunset from the water. Return to camp for dinner and a storytelling session around the fire.
Day 4: Exploring Moremi – Wildlife Tracking & Scenic Views
Another full day at Third Bridge, maximizing game-viewing opportunities. Optional walking safari with a guide to track wildlife on foot. Visit the surrounding floodplains, home to buffalo, leopards, and giraffes. Sunset relaxation at camp, sharing safari highlights from the last three days.
Day 5: Transfer to Xakanaxa & Dead Trees Island
Early morning game drive while exiting Third Bridge. Transfer to Xakanaxa, another wildlife-rich area of Moremi. Set up camp and embark on an afternoon game drive, searching for cheetahs, antelope, and large elephant herds. Evening visit to Dead Trees Island, a hauntingly beautiful area with ancient, dry trees emerging from the delta waters. Dinner at camp with the sounds of the African night in the background.
Day 6: Full-Day Safari in Xakanaxa
Morning and afternoon game drives in Xakanaxa, focusing on predator sightings and diverse birdlife. Relax at camp during the midday heat. Sunset wildlife watching from a scenic lookout. Second night of camping in Xakanaxa.
Day 7: Return to Maun – Relaxation at Audi Camp
Early morning game drive while exiting Xakanaxa. Travel back to Maun, marking the end of the wilderness adventure. Settle in at Audi Camp, freshen up, and enjoy a well-deserved rest. Optional activities. Final dinner in Maun, celebrating the safari experience.
Day 8: Cultural Visit to Lake Ngami & Return to Base
Depart Maun for a village tour around Lake Ngami, a seasonal lake with historical significance. Learn about the local culture, traditions, and wildlife interactions in the region. Return to base, concluding an unforgettable Okavango Delta adventure.
