Description
In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel, and drive with your guide to the village of Mochudi, 25 miles (40km) north of Gaborone. Here you will visit the Phuthadikobo Museum and learn about the history of the Bakgatla tribe.
Next, drive to the village of Oodi, famous for its weaving crafts. Join in the activities of local women hand-weaving goods. Stop at Botswana Craft for lunch and to try the local cuisine. After lunch, explore the shop and buy some souvenirs.
Continue to Gabane to see locals making pottery. Then drive to Mnayana, where you will join a guided walk to the Mma Sechele Monument. Admire the ancient rock paintings made 2000 years ago by local bush tribes. Finally, visit the famous Livingstones Tree and the memorial to David Livingstone. See locals going about their daily life in rural villages passed by on your return back to Gaborone.
