Nxamaseri Island Lodge is located on an island along the panhandle of the Okavango Delta, offering permanent access to the deep water surrounding the accommodation. It is located in an idyllic setting amidst a canopy of trees which open up onto the channels giving you an almost tropical island feel. The lodge has 9 chalets in total which includes 2 family chalets, all of which are en-suite with their own small patio. The main area consists of a dining room, bar, lounge, boma and there is also a swimming pool nearby. Due to it's location the accommodation is ideal for fishing especially during the barbel run as well as birding with over 400 species recorded in the region. Activities revolve around boat cruises as well as mokoro and walking safaris which varies dependent on the waterlevels and if ancient rockpaintings are of interest you can also join a daytrip to Tsodilo Hills. A great perk is that one guide is allocated per couple or group travelling together making it a more privatised experience. Nxamaseri can be accessed by light aircraft with the nearest international airport in Maun (MUB) or alternatively by self-drive and your vehicle will be parked in a safe location from where you will be transferred to the accommodation. No 4x4 required.
